This past week, the National Space Club hosted its annual Von Braun Memorial Dinner at the Von Braun Center South Hall in Huntsville, Alabama. Dubbed the “The Space Prom,” this year’s prominent sold-out event welcomed local businesses and space enthusiasts dressed to the nines “to celebrate “scholarships and award recipients”- who are helping to shape the future of space exploration.”  The annual celebration culminates the yearly Von Braun Symposium held each October and serves as the largest fundraiser event hosted by the Space Club.

This year’s keynote speaker was Dr. Elizabeth Barrios, a structural materials engineer at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Also at this yearly event, selected individuals and groups were honored with awards and scholarships, including The Von Braun Space Flight Trophy, the Astronautics Engineering Award, and the Community Service Award, as well as the Dr. Wernher Von Braun Memorial Scholarship and multiple National Space Club scholarships.

All Points is proud to support this annual event, this year serving as a Bronze Sponsor, and having many of the team in attendance at the celebration as well, including Ed Scarborough, Jeff Howard, Scott Muir, Tonya Muir, Diana Stevens, Mike Osborne, Kurt Weidenthal and John Hall.
